Track and Field
Sign-ups will be available in Spring 2025! Students will be putting on their track shoes and running, jumping and throwing! Join other schools with the Loomis School District as they run races, jump the high jump, and throw discus and shot put.

Harvest Ridge Enrichment Sessions
Harvest Ridge is excited to offer Enrichment opportunities for all of our students! Each session has three classes that students sign up for which are split into grade-level groups. Each session will be capped at 60 students, with a maximum of 20 in each group. A waiting list will be started for students signing up after the session fills.
With the exception of Session 1, classes are held on Fridays on the Harvest Ridge Home Study Campus located at 925 Kentucky Greens Way, Newcastle. Classes run from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, including snack/recess breaks. Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle and snacks for the break.
Costs for each session and session details are listed below. Payment for classes must be received as of the due date through cash, check made out to HRCCS, or Zelle.

Playground GamesIn this class, students will learn classic playground games like Jacks, Chinese Jump Rope, Hopscotch, and Foursquare.
Through fun, hands-on activities, students will develop coordination, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while enjoying timeless games that promote active play. The class will have social interaction and physical activity, making it a fun way to engage with friends and learn new skills. |
Hands On With ScienceStudents can dive into the world of science through exciting hands-on experiments. These interactive activities bring scientific concepts to life, allowing young learners to observe, question, and discover.
By manipulating everyday materials, they can explore various fields like chemistry, physics, and biology. These experiments often produce visually striking results, sparking curiosity and excitement. These hands-on classes invite students to dive into the exciting world of engineering through a series of engaging challenges. Green Thumbs UpExploring the World of Plants! Join us for an exciting journey into the vibrant world of plants! In our “Green Thumbs Up” enrichment class, students will dive into hands-on experiences that cultivate their love for nature and understanding of the environment. This engaging class combines science, creativity, and teamwork, making it perfect for budding botanists and garden enthusiasts alike.
What to Expect: Hands-On Learning: Students will learn to plant seeds, tend to growing plants, and observe and sketch growing things. Plant Science: Through interactive lessons, students will discover the different parts of a plant, as well as the life cycle. Creative Projects: Each week will feature fun projects such as designing plant labels, creating garden journals, or crafting unique plant pots, allowing students to express their creativity.
