No School on Monday 11/11
Just a reminder that there will be no school and our campus will be closed on Monday 11/11 in observance of Veterans Day. We will reopen/resume school on Tuesday 11/12. 

See's Candy Fundraiser
It's time for some Yum-Raising! HRCCS receives profits from anything ordered at the See's Candy Harvest Ridge Store. Items can be shipped directly to yourself or any other gift recipient you'd like. Share the link with your family, friends coworkers, etc. so that they can order some treats and benefit our school at the same time!

Key to Success - Citizenship
Our November Key to Success is Citizenship! We talked with students during morning announcements about what it means to be a good citizen. We explained that students can demonstrate this at school by following the rules, being respectful, and doing your part to make the school a better place for everyone. Some examples we discussed were picking up bits of trash around campus and being respectful during the National Anthem in the mornings. We will be celebrating students who demonstrate Citizenship before we go on Thanksgiving break!

Conference Week/Minimum Days 11/18-11/21
We will have our Conference Week starting on 11/18 and going through Thursday 11/21. These will be minimum days, which means all students will be released at Noon. There will not be a hot lunch option on these days.

Mandarin Fundraiser
It's back! Get a 10 lb bag of Mandarins for $15!
The Harvest Ridge PTO has partnered with our friends at Miller Honey Farms to offer fresh, locally grown mandarins and honey. We have also partnered with Colwell Thundering Herd Ranch for bath and body products, as well as delicious edibles. 100% of the proceeds of the honey and mandarins go to our school!Important Dates to Remember:

• November 21st - Orders are Due
• December 5th - Orders will be delivered 

Payment Instructions:
1.Please have everyone on your order sheet make their payments (cash, 
checks, venmo, etc.) to YOU NOT HRCCS. 
2. Total the amounts of all orders on your sheet and write ONE check (Payable 
to: HRCCS PTO) or Venmo labeled "Mandarin Fundraiser" (Account: @harvestridge) ONE payment for the ENTIRE AMOUNT OF YOUR ORDER. 
Order guides were sent home with students on Thursday 11/7.

Canned Food Drive 11/18-11/21
Save the Date - Thanksgiving Feast on Thursday 11/21
Our PTO will be coordinating our annual Thanksgiving Feast on Thursday 11/21 from 11-12. Many hands will be needed to help with food, decorating, set up, and clean up! Save the date and be on the lookout for the sign up list coming out next week!

Track & Field Coach Needed!

• The season starts in mid-March and ends in mid-May.
• Last year, there were about 20 students on the team in 5th through 8th grade.
• The practice schedule is flexible. School gets out at 2:30 PM and there is no in-session school on Fridays. Last year's practice schedule was Mondays @ 2:45, Wednesdays @ 2:45, and Fridays @ 8:30 AM. This can be changed to meet the coach's schedule. 
• Practices are held at the school, located at 9050 Old State Highway in Newcastle. 
• Harvest Ridge competes against K-8 schools in Loomis. Meets are held at Franklin Elementary School and Placer Elementary School. 
• The meet schedule is located HERE on the league website. Keep in mind that it's a draft and might change slightly. 
• Meets are twice a week and last 2 - 2.5 hours. The league puts on mini meets as opposed to one long league meet a week. Once meets start, the team only practices once a week in conjunction with competitions.
• The coach needs to be fingerprinted and TB tested. The following certificates should also be provided: CPR, First Aid, Concussion, and Cardiac Arrest. 
• Stipend is $500 for the season.

Birthday Messages on the Marquee
Is it time to celebrate your student's birthday? Would you like to have a special message displayed for your child? Student council will be using this as a fundraiser for the events that we put on for HRCCS students. The cost is $10 for a message.  Please use this Google Form to place a request!

Venmo Payments Reminder
Just a reminder that all payments being made for PTO sponsored school events need to include the Student's Name, Student's Grade, and the Event.
Ex: Suzy Q, 5th Grade, Overnight Field Trip
This helps ensure that the money going to the PTO Venmo is being applied to the right student for the right purpose. Thank you!
