This past week, we celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week, and we sure felt the love! From the decorations, treats, gifts, and kind sentiments from students and families, we wanted to say Thank You for such a wonderful week. Our PTO did a fantastic job in coordinating all of the Teacher Appreciation activities, and the level of detail that they put in did not go unnoticed. Thank you to every family that donated their time and resources into planning such a wonderful week. We appreciate you so much! Site Word Busters Student Recognition Congratulations to Naomi & Max! Naomi & Max were recognized by the Site Word Busters program as outstanding students who embody the mission of the program. As part of this recognition, both gave separate speeches at the appreciation celebration and expressed the impact that they see the Site Word Busters having on our younger students as well as themselves. Our 8th grade students serve as "Buster Buddies" for our Kindergarten class. This requires training from the Site Word Busters program so that they can assist our Kindergartners in learning letters, sounds, and the first site words of the program. Our 1st and 2nd grade students also participate in Site Word Busters, which can't happen without our parent volunteers! A HUGE Thank You to our teachers who implement the program, Mrs. Feickert, Ms. Staton, and Mrs. Silski, as well as our Parent Coordinator, Sarah Moulton! Whether it's academics, student council, or volleyball, Adalynn always gives her best effort while celebrating other students' success as well. Congratulations to Adalynn- we're so proud of you! Key to Success - Integrity Can you believe we have reached the final Key to Success for this school year? For the month of May, our Key to Success is Integrity. We explained to students that integrity means doing the right thing even when nobody is watching. We provided examples to students how what integrity looks like in school, including listening to teachers/instructional aides the first time, working together in things like group projects, and telling the truth even if it means admitting you made a mistake. PTO Meeting on Wednesday 5/7 We will have our final PTO meeting of the year on Wednesday. 5/7 at 2:45 pm! Come and see how you can help out with our end-of-the-year campus events, including Teacher Appreciation Week and Field Day! See you there! The CAASPP assessments help us better understand how your child is progressing, including where they may need extra support, as well as help us with renewing our Charter. We kindly ask for your help in making sure your child gets a good night’s rest and comes to school ready to do their best. Encouraging a positive mindset and consistent effort can make a big difference. Thank you for your support! Art Week 5/12-5/15 Art Week is just around the corner!
