Girls on the Run

We are currently looking for parent volunteers to start this program. Email Mr. Ornelas for more info! REQUIREMENTS Must be at least 18 years old Experience working with youth The ability to inspire and motivate others to believe in the Girls on the Run mission Strong communication, organizational, conflict resolutions, and problem solving skills Ability to work as team and think on your feet Successful completion of a background check and CPR/First Aid certification Attend all (2) practices per week for a weekly time commitment of approximately 4 hours All coaches must complete in-person GOTR Curriculum/Program Training and the end of the season celebratory 5K Be authentic and inspire joy, confidence and healthy habits and have fun with the girls! RESPONSIBILITIES Preparing, organizing, and supervising the weekly lessons Leading the program participants through each lesson Serving as a role model and mentor communicating weekly with parents of program participants, team site contacts, and coaches Understanding and believing in the mission of GOTR Planning and coordinating a community service project Plan and coordinate your team’s end of season party
NBA Math Hoops
We are looking for parent volunteers to start an NBA Math Hoops Club on campus. Email Mr. Ornelas for more information.
NBA Math Hoops is a game that features real like NBA & WNBA superstar playing cards and their statistics. Students learn fundamental math skills through the game of basketball, as well as learn about teamwork and sportsmanship.
Track & Field
Students will be putting on their track shoes and running, jumping and throwing! Join other schools with the Loomis School District as they run races, jump the high jump, and throw discus and shot put.
