February School Closure~ Just a reminder that the school campus will be closed this week, February 18-22, for Presidents' holidays and Independent Study days. The one exception will be Friday morning, when the school will be open 2/22 for Enrichment.
Science Night February 28~Come see what our students have been up to! Everything science is happening at school, and we invite parents, grandparents, and friends to come tour the school and take in the wealth of science events. Main school activities are open from 6:00-7:00 pm. Please check with your classroom for additional activities and times.
Independent Study Day Thursday 2/28~In order to provide time for teachers to set up for Science Night and grade projects, Thursday, 2/28 will be an Independent Study Day. The school has reserved Foothill Bowl in Auburn from 9:00 am-12:00 noon just for us for a morning of bowling! Feel free to arrive at any time during this window. It's unlimited games and shoe rental for just $8.00 per person! Bring the family! The snack bar will be open as well for purchasing snacks. Foothill Bowl is located at 13489 Bowman Rd, Auburn.
Spring Parent Conference Sign-Ups Now Open~ All students will be participating this spring in student led conferences, where they accompany their parent to the conference and take an active role in sharing their progress and learning. Individual conferences will also be offered for math with Mrs. Kurth. You can sign up HERE. Please contact your child's teacher if you need an additional check-in.
Track and Field Starts March 18! We are SO excited that Coaches Nancy & Steve March will once again be coaching our students. Student will have a chance to meet the coaches during lunch on Tuesday, Feb 26th! Track and Field is open to students in grades 5-8, and will run from March 18 through May 8th. Practices will be Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:45-4:00, and meets are on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please click HERE to sign up!

Last Week for Read to Succeed! Students in grades K-6 have the opportunity to complete a 6 hour reading challenge. The bonus? Each participating children will receive a FREE ticket to Six Flags in Vallejo! Reading logs have been sent home, and MUST be returned completed no later than MONDAY, FEBRUARY 25th. Destination Imagination Team Heading to Competition! Come watch our talented DI team, Team Name Don't Breathe, on Saturday, March 2! They will be competing at Olympus Junior High School, 2625 La Croix Dr, Roseville. Doors open at 10:15 am, and doors LOCK at 11:00 am when the performance begins. Look for the color orange! Go TEAM!!
McLaughlin's Friday Enrichment Session 4 Starting March 15th~We are once again teaming with McLaughlin's Theater Co in Loomis to provide a 7 week mini-musical experience for our students. All sessions will take place at the studio as the students work on the musical "The Frog Prince". They will perform on the last day of the session. Health Curriculum Parent Education Night~Join us March 12th from 6:00-7:00 pm for a preview of health topics that will be presented to students in grades 5-8 later in the school year. More info will be coming!
March 28th Independent Study Day~Harvest Ridge School received grant money to help promote improving student academic performance. As a result, staff will be participating in a two day math training with representatives from Eureka Math, and students will have an independent study day on March 28th. This collaboration will provide invaluable support for staff in supporting our students academically in math.

Casino Night is Coming! This is one of our BIG fundraisers for the PTO that puts funding DIRECTLY into the classrooms for field trips and special events. PTO is asking every family to please work on procuring donations for the event. Do you have a family time share or cabin that you could donate a weekend for? How about that favorite coffee place or restaurant that may be able to donate an item or gift certificate? Feel free to get creative! This is great advertising for their business, and helps put dollars right back to the kids. Thank you!
